This has been SUCH a long day(s?). I don't even know anymore - everything is a blur.
Lizzy and I left with Carrie around 8 AM on the 30th - we were expecting to hit tons of traffic for a the pirate festival, Gasparilla, but fortunately everything turned out just fine. We flew out of Tampa to JFK, JFK to Heathrow. We finally got into London around 6:30 AM local time. We waited for our friend Andrea at the airport and took the train to Paddington Station. From there, we took a taxi to the house. We were greeted by our professor and given a tour of the house before dragging our bags up two flights of stairs. I'm sharing a triple with Lizzy and Andrea, so it should be a great time. =D
We wanted to try to get on a normal eating schedule, so we took a trip down the road to Pret a Manger, the local sandwich shop - I also got coffee. Caffeine can only do so much. I fell asleep an hour afterward.
So it's about 4:30 in the afternoon here...or should I say 16:30? We don't really have any big plans for tonight, just getting dinner and passing out. =)
These are some photos from Gower Street to Tesco, a British version of Walmart/Publix.

Final Preparations
In just a few short days, I'll be taking off from Tampa International to JFK for an exciting layover (4 hours) before landing in London at 6:35 AM (local time). My friend Lizzy and I are on the same flight, so it'll make things easier once we get there - we don't have to worry about getting to the house alone. I'll definitely keep updating, probably everyday-ish. I want to remember everything about this trip, and I'm sure that I'll also have plenty of photos to post.
Until I land, here's a little something for you to explore: Hillsong UK. I'm super excited that they're located in London, even closer than I could ever imagine: just two blocks from the house. They have several services on Sunday, and they offer groups for college students. I'm definitely going to be attending. =D
Until later!
